Engaging youth for active citizenship and social development initiatives.

In particular, the project focuses on youth HRDs who are working on the critical issues of disinformation and access to information in relation to the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections as well as on accountability of the newly elected officials from the national to the local levels. The project aims to focus on promoting youth capacities in countering fake news and creating youth-led content that promotes youth freedom of expression.

SaKabataan

A youth-led coalition of young farmers and young farmer allies who are organized and are able to champion young farmers’ agenda in policymaking at the national and local levels. The project aims to contribute to making agricultural sector policy more responsive to young farmers’ needs and therefore increasing youth participation in the agricultural sector.

Through the Model SK program, we empower SK officials, Local Youth Development Council members, and youth organizations with transformational leadership skills and democratic tools to guarantee the effective implementation of the SK Reform law, all aimed at fostering the holistic development of youth and igniting a powerful wave of positive change and reform across society.

Multiply-Ed or X-Ed is a project of the Center for Youth Advocacy and Networking (CYAN), Government Watch (G-Watch), Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP), and Bukluran ng mga Progresibong Iskolar – UP System (Bukluran UP System) that aims to improve transparency, participation, and accountability in various levels of education governance, particularly in implementing learning continuity plans for Senior High Schools and the transition to face-to-face classes post-COVID.

This Exhibition aims to provide information and awareness to young people on the events that had transpired during the Martial Law period (1972-81). It hopes to create a platform to reintroduce and debate on the values of human rights and democracy through looking at the stories and lessons from Martial Law and from the first EDSA People Power Revolt.
